The best iPhone apps for moms have been announced! Boxcar

Boxcar’s Rankings

For the savvy social-media maven, Boxcar is a must. It’s not so much a tool for consuming what other people are saying in general as it is an easy way to track what people are saying to and about you in particular. The push notifications alert you any time someone comments on your Facebook profile or mentions you on Twitter. This comes in particularly handy for time-sensitive queries, like when your mom friends tweet that they’re going to the park with the kids in an hour and you want to tag along. And since Boxcar supports multiple Twitter accounts, it’s extra-useful if you’re juggling multiple handles (personal and work, for example). Bonus points: the app can save you precious iPhone battery life so that you’re never without a phone when you’re off running errands with the kids. Turn off notifications from all of your other apps and have Boxcar alone check for updates – that way, there’ll be only one program constantly updating instead of five.
