Morning News: Chrome, Green, and King James

artrushmoregreenpeaceMe? I am a Mac girl, and yes I will pay those ridiculous prices and squeeze all the life I can out of my four-year-old machine. Why? Because the Mac OS is simple, elegant, and easy to just pop open and use. But news that Google plans to offer their own free, open source operating system aimed at netbooks makes me think I could switch over, especially if I could buy a nice cheap machine that actually, you know, works. Of course, Apple could just put out a netbook (think Steve Jobs reads the ‘Derby?)

Look, I worry about global warming as much as the next person, but Greenpeace? Scaling Mount Rushmore to unfurl a banner just kind of makes you look like idiots. Especially since the G8 is meeting in Copenhagen and unlikely to get your message.

And on an even lighter note King James does not like to be embarrassed. Lebron James, ridiculously overhyped and inflated-ego’ed NBA star, was dunked on by a college player at a clinic he was hosting with Nike at the University if Akron (home of the Zips!!). At his behest, Nike confiscated any and all video of the dunk by Xavier player Jordan Crawford. At the time, James didn’t react, but I suppose when people have been hyping your talent since seventh grade, God forbid anyone act as I they are better than you.
