Mother's Day Goes Digital

Happy Mother's Day!

Let’s go wild for infographics! Seriously, who doesn’t love a good infographic? A good inforgraphic is nearly as satisfying as oversharing on Facebook.

After Cecily’s post about the “Rise of the Mommy Blogger” infographic, I thought you might appreciate this  infographic in honor of Mother’s Day (Don’t forget: it’s Sunday!). This marks the first ever infographic (but probably not the last) for Internet Exposure, a web design and marketing company.

So what does this infographic tell us? Nothing hugely surprising since the information is culled from a variety of other sources. But it is helpful to see all of these stats in one place. It gives some insight into how moms are using technology, as well as what moms want for mother’s day (a smartphone or a Tablet).

Other interesting Mother’s Day stats: 1/4 of shoppers will buy Mother’s Day gifts for moms online this year, up 21.5% from last year. 50% of those purchases will be from a mobile device.

Another impressive stat: 90% of moms are friends with their kids on Facebook, but 46% say they restrict their kid’s access to their profile.

Check out the infographic:

What will you be buying for mom on Mother’s Day and what are you hoping to get? Personally, I’d take an iPad over flowers any day.
