In case you’ve been pondering what your kids will think of you in 20 years, Eliot Glazer has provided you with the answer. It comes courtesy of his Website, My Parents Were Awesome.
Oh, and now it’s headed to a coffee table near you.
Glazer, a blogger who believes “Before the fanny packs and Andrea Bocelli concerts, your parents (and grandparents) were once free-wheeling, fashion-forward, and super awesome,” has landed a book deal with Villard Trade Paperback according to Galley Cat.
A blogger at Urlesque – where they expose bits of the web – Glazer has been collecting bits of parental awesomeness since September and posting them on his Tumblr site. Readers – aka kids – can submit their own photos with details on why their parents are, well, awesome. Or were once upon a time anyway.
As a parent, I’m happy to report Glazer recently told NPR, “every other email is titled My Parents Were and Still Are Awesome.” So your kids might laugh at you – but they’ll still think you freakin’ rock . . . even if you end up on their coffee table.
