"My Two Moms Can Beat Up Your 14 Wives"

funniest-protest-signs-1The Huffington Post has posted a delightful slideshow called “The Funniest Protest Signs of 2009.” A few of the highlights include “Thank You, Fox News, For Keeping Us Infromed” and “Gay People Can Quote the Bible, Too,” under which is written, “A marriage shall be considered valid only if the wife is a virgin. If the wife is not a virgin, she shall be executed (Deuteronomy 22:13-21).”

I also love the enigmatic “Don’t Steal from Medicare to Support Socialized Medicine.” Come again? You lost me at the moment you decided to protest something.

I have mixed feelings on children getting involved in politics – but even with that mixed feelings…getting them involved can and does lead to a lifetime of voting and activism. I don’t see how that can be a bad thing…teaches them to get up and do something, that their vote matters, rather than not voting and kvetching.

Plumb, yeah, I agree. However, I think at that young age they are only eccoing their parents belives. It is better to wait until they are older and decide for themselves if they agree with the cause.
