Natural Ways To Reduce Childrens' Radiation Risk

kelp is a good source of iodineAs the world reels from the natural and nuclear disaster in Japan, California is buzzing with anxiety.  There is talk about scary things like fallout and acid rain. It’s hard to know whether there’s really anything to worry about (possibly because I’m not sure anyone knows yet) . But judging from the fact that there’s a run on Potassium Iodide pills that’s making officials worry about depleting Japan’s supply, there is some serious worrying going on .

If I were in California (where in fact I am conveniently scheduled to be in a week and a half) I would be happy to know that there are some natural ways to control the effects of exposure to radiation, many of which are easy to acquire and safe for children. Some of which your children might actually enjoy. Children are more vulnerable to the effects of radiation than adults, just as they’re more vulnerable to any toxin. Smaller bodies means smaller organs, which means the same amount of exposure and less ability to process it. Natural remedies for radiation exposure help the body to detox both internally and externally.

I’m not a doctor, or an expert in natural medicine; the info I’m posting was circulated by a natural health practitioner in California who offered up his expertise and encouraged people to pass it on.  I’m publishing it here as I got it, but I I can’t vouch for his authority—I’d always recommend looking into whatever you plan to use and/or give to your kids. I’m including his name at the end of the list if you want to contact him, but you could probably get similar advice from any number of qualified practitioners.

Here are his recommendations for keeping kids safe from the damaging effects of radiation:

The forecast is radiation will reach west coast of US around March 17. Be proactive and use what is available to us to protect the body and especially the thyroid and heart. Also, for our children who are more susceptible to the effects of radiation.

Suggested recommendations:

Miso Soup with seaweed. This could be kelp, kombu or arame. Arame is the mildest
in taste. We need the iodine to protect thyroid tissue. Use light colored miso paste as it
is less salty. Do not cook miso, at it to hot water and let id dissolve. Soak the seaweed
in warm water for 15 minutes to soften, then add to miso broth. Two bowls daily.

Rad Tox. 1/ dropper, 3x daily, under tongue. Call Apex Energetics: 800-736-4381. Use
authorization code: P2203 if you are not a licensed health practitioner.

Aztec Healing Green Clay. Two tbsp into bathwater each day for two weeks. Bentonite
in the clay will help absorb radioactive elements. Try Whole Foods or Natural Life in
Pleasant Hill.

Radium Bromide 1M. Four pellets, 1x daily for two weeks. Helps detox radioactive elements.

I suggest using all of the recommendations for the next two weeks. After that exposure will drop significantly, providing there are no more nuclear accidents. So stay aware of the situation.
