Hahaha… some posts really are as simple as the title suggests they are, and I guarantee you this video of 2-year-old Khaliyl Iloyi freestyling – passing the mic, taking it back, killing it all in baby talk – will make your night/day. You may or may not know that I’m the best freestyle rapper in the history of white women rapping (that link, like me, is not safe for work), so take it from an expert: this kid is FIYAH IN A DIPAH!
According to The Root, ”At the age of four months, Khaliyl started showing signs of interest in music, making noises to songs that we played,” his father, Femi Iloyi, said. “At around 9 months, his timing and ability was very clear.” Sociological Images calls this another example of socialization, saying that Khaliyl has simply “learned the cadences of rapping.” Nah, man. Khaliyl was #bornthisway, baby!
Thanks to my pals Victor Varnado and Chris “Shockwave” Sullivan, hosts of The BEATdown NYC (which I have won several times… ahem… not to brag… ahem…) for the link!
