Parenting FAIL: Toddlers & Tiaras Mom Bleaches Her Daughter's Teeth

Teeth Bleaching for Kids?

Although the mom who allegedly injected Botox into the 9-year-old skin of her pageant-going daughter was bad enough (although the woman claimed she made the whole story up), there are other beauty sins that really are being thrust upon the mini-beauty queens of the Toddler and Tiara’s set.

Piles of make-up, false eyelashes, and spray tans are de rigueur. But now one reality show stage mom on the popular TLC show is adding another thing onto her daughters’ beauty regime to-do list – teeth bleaching.

Lori mother to Alaska (age 8) and Braxton (age 5) – admits that the bleach substance is disgusting she continues to do it regularly.  “I bleach my children’s teeth at least once a week, whether we have a pageant or not,” Lori said on a soon to air episode of Toddler and Tiaras. “There is no harm in bleaching their teeth,” she claimed. She says that “I bleach their teeth all the time, they love it,” but the kids try to get out of it, so it sounds like she could be a bit delusional about their feelings on it.

Ironically, she won’t let her kids wear “flippers,” a set of fake teeth, which many a pageant contender will pop in saying that flippers are “altering what God gave them.” But bleaching their teeth? Apparently God’s okay with that one.

Do you think bleaching your kids teeth is a parenting sin or is it a fine bit of personal hygiene?
