Private Pinterest Boards, Just In Time For The HolidaysCecily Kellogg
Ooooh, this one is so fun! Have you ever dreamed of pinning gifts for the people in your lives as a way to keep notes, but wanted to keep spying eyes from actually seeing the gifts you’re thinking of buying? Or, perhaps, you are thinking of redecorating your house but don’t want opinions (other than from a few trusted folks) or, perhaps, want to keep a secret wish list of items for yourself?
Pinterest now makes it possible!
In the Oh, How Pinteresting! blog today, they said, “We hope that secret boards will make Pinterest even more useful. You can use secret boards to keep track of holiday gifts, plan a special event, or work on a project you aren’t yet ready to share with the rest of the world. You can keep your secret boards to yourself or invite family and friends to pin with you.”
So awesome! It just rolled out to me on the web and my iPhone app (make sure you check for iPhone and Droid updates today, because you should have a Pinterest update!). Basically you simply scroll down to the bottom of the page and at the very bottom you see the option to create a secret board:
I’m actually thinking about setting up a Pinterest account for my daughter now that she’s working on her Christmas list; she can pin her own stuff to a private board no one else can see. Love!
So, will you use this feature? How do you think it will help you?
