Prom 2011: Sweetest Prom ‘Dates’ Ever

By Madeline Holler |

High school football standout Malcolm Pichon was half of the sweetest prom dates this year.

When Louisiana high school senior Malcolm Pichon was considering who to ask to his senior prom, he didn’t take long to decide. Of course — of course! — he would take his favorite lady.

He asked, she accepted. And they have to be the sweetest prom dates ever.

You see, Malcolm escorted his mother, Michelle Pichon, to the traditional formal dance.

Malcolm, a star Salmen High School football player, explained to local reporters that he wanted to take his mom to prom because she had never been. When Michelle was 18, she had dropped out of school to give birth to Malcolm’s sister. Since he’s off to college in the fall, he thought he’d give his mom a chance to see what she had missed.

The prom would be a family affair: Michelle escorted her (awesome) son wearing her daughter’s prom dress from last year. The two make the sweetest prom dates ever. This happy (awesome) mom raised a good one.
