Here in the northeast, it was a beautiful fall weekend. My family went upstate to go apple picking and ended up going rock climbing and attending a Harvest Festival.
We took a hay ride through a pumpkin patch which got me in the Halloween mood.
It’s still a little early to buy a pumpkin for Halloween (it may rot by then), but it’s not too early to start practicing the pumpkin carving.
I went online to see if I could find any free pumpkin carving patterns and here is what I came up with:
If you want a celebrity pumpkin, you can download free celebrity pumpkin stencils at Better Homes and Gardens. Who wouldn’t want a pumpkin carved like President Obama, Sarah Palin or Oprah Winfrey?
History Channel also provides some cool pumpkin carving patterns, including some spooky classics as well as some more intricate designs (like Mount Rushmore or the Statue of Liberty!)
Family Kitchen recently did a round-up of the best free pumpkin templates on the web, including free Disney-themed pumpkin stencils.
What do you plan to carve into your pumpkin this year? Sarah Palin, Mickey Mouse or President Obama? Why not all three?
