Sandy Hook Children Record 'Over the Rainbow' with Proceeds to Benefit their Community (VIDEO)Meredith Carroll
Its just been over a month since 20 children and six adults were murdered at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.
No one there would be blamed for doing nothing in the time since but mourning, but the resilient community has hardly just been sitting around.
A mere month after the tragedy, the Newtown’s Children Choir came together with singer/songwriter Ingrid Michaelson along with Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club rockers Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth to record a very special version of “Over the Rainbow,” which is available for download at iTunes and Amazon. Proceeds will benefit the Newtown Youth Academy and United Way of Western Connecticut.
