Say It Isn't So: Fifty Shades of Grey Outsells Harry Potter On Amazon UK (VIDEO)

Fans and friends of literature, turn away now.  This will likely make you shake your head in amazement (and sadness) as I did today.

In only four months time, E.L. James, author of the much-loved and much-hated trilogy Fifty Shades of Grey, has overtaken J.K Rowlings, author of SEVEN Harry Potter books, as the best selling author of all time on Amazon UK.

Yes, you read that correctly: THE BEST SELLING AUTHOR OF ALL TIME. And her books came out this year.

According to The Guardian, James has sold more than 4 million copies of her book in print and on Kindle – just since March. And?  The final book in the Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is falling to the first book in the Grey series by two to one on Amazon.co.uk.

Also consider:  the Harry Potter books have been selling for 14 YEARS.  Compared to 4 MONTHS for Shades of Grey.

My thoughts and opinions in the video.
