In a new report that will surprise absolutely no one, it turns out that people don’t trust ads.
What WAS interesting about the report – created by the smart folks at Lab 42 – is how few people are compelled to make a purchase because of a sponsored post.
Other than that, the only real kernels of interest in the infographic is the disparity on some items between men and women. For instance, 77% of men believe that beauty ads are “very accurate.” Sure, dudes, that woman really DOES have inch-long eyelashes from that mascara. AMAZING (y’all know I’m being sarcastic, right?).
