The Sister Wives finale not only ended with the birth of Kody Brown and fourth wife Robyn’s baby, it also included an offer from Robyn to first wife Meri to be her surrogate!
Talk about a cliffhanger… Robyn posed the question and Meri didn’t answer. Yet.
Meri has had fertility issues and was shown during the season finale having a talk with Kody where she decides she doesn’t want to do IVF.
Robyn, when having her home birth, talked about how her body “is designed to carry and deliver the baby — God designed a woman’s body to do that.”
I guess we should have seen it coming that she would offer up her uterus to Meri, especially after so much of the Sister Wives’ finale touched on how close wife number 1 and number 4 have gotten.
During the finale, Robyn had the seemingly perfect home-birth-recorded-for-reality-tv and then, after everyone had snuggled baby Solomon, she asked to talk privately with Meri.
Robyn offered to be Meri’s surrogate, noting, “I’ve been praying about it ever since we met — I mean it.”
It’s all an emotional moment, as she’s just given birth and is offering to get pregnant again with Meri’s baby… but I don’t know.
I question the “reality” of reality TV sometimes and couldn’t help but wonder if this wasn’t an additional dramatic storyline to keep people wanting to tune in to the next season.
Because, seriously, don’t you want to find out now if Meri agreed?
Was Robyn’s offer the real deal or just for ratings?
