What I found most interesting is the fact that social media is not, in fact, ruled by kids; in fact, the average age of so social media user is actually 36.9 years old (the only outlier is LinkedIn, where the average user is actually 44).
It gets more interesting when you start to look at the breakdown of gender as well.
Women are slightly more involved with social media then men are: 48.75% male, 51.25% female. Surprisingly, the most popular sites for women are Pinterest (okay, not all that surprising) and Goodreads (which did surprise me a bit). Take a look for yourself.
