Star Wars: The Clone Wars Hosts First Ever Google+ Hangout

STAR WARS CLONE WARSThings are about to get crazy on Star Wars: The Clone Wars this weekend.

Crazy awesome.

Saturday’s episode, called “The Lawless,” features Obi-Wan Kenobi, Duchess Satine, Darth Maul, Savage Opress, and…

Wait for it…

Darth Sidious.

It’s his first (live-ish) appearance – he’s only ever appeared as a hologram or as Senator Palpatine – which basically guarantees lightsaber pshwuuummms and furrowed brows.

And, to mark the momentous occasion, Lucasfilm is hosting it’s first ever, official The Clone Wars Google+ Hangout. Considering Disney and Google’s recent film-meets-web announcement, expect an epic galactic geek out.

It all goes down Feb. 2 at 10:30 a.m. PST, so make sure to RSVP here.

Lucasfilm’s Pablo Hidalgo and Hollywood.com’s Christian Blauvelt will moderate, and a live stream of the event will be open to everyone at youtube.com/starwars.

The Clone Wars‘ Dave Filoni (supervising director) will be on hand, accompanied by Matt Lanter (Anakin Skywalker), Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano), and Sam Witwer (Darth Maul), which means everyone will get a chance to connect with the cast and creators, plus take an exclusive first look at next week’s The Clone Wars episode – “Sabotage.”

Until then, a sneak peek at “The Lawless.”
