A fourth grade teacher in Maine has apologized for playing the groom in a mock wedding after one of his students proposed and the class inveigled the teacher into accepting.
Yeah, that wasn’t going to raise eyebrows.
Naturally, the ceremony held on the playground was innocent enough. The teacher wore a clown tie, the bride a sheet standing in for a gown. There was no kiss to consummate the faux affair.
Regardless, parents were unhappy to learn of the event and the teacher, Paul Rosenblum says he’s, “sick with regret.”
It seems like a teacher who caves to the peer pressure of a gaggle of fourth graders might not have the strongest grasp on his class.
