As parents attempting to fulfill their kids’ Christmas wishes already know, the holidays get more expensive every year. But this year the price of the “12 Days of Christmas” has topped the six-figure mark for the first time ever.
If you were to buy the 364 items repeated across all the song’s verses, it would set you back $101,119, which is a 4.4. percent increase over 2010, according to the annual Christmas Price Index that PNC Wealth Management compiled.
On the bright side, the rate of increase is less than half of last year’s 9.2 percent increase.
And on the OMG side? The list costs more to fill online than in stores. Something to do with shipping live birds.
