The 10 Commandments Of BloggingCecily Kellogg
Okay, not really. Truth is I surveyed a large group of bloggers and asked them what they suggest when it comes to the Ten Commandments of blogging. I then moshed the 483 commandments that were suggested down into ten.
I must ask forgiveness because I have, indeed, broken many of these commandments personally and might indeed continue to do so. I’m trying.
Also, I must ask that thou remember that these commandments are largely tongue in cheek and are not, in fact, biblical or legal or real in any way.
Thou Shalt Be True To Thyself 1 of 10Thou shall write for yourself and your readers, and thou shalt not sell thy soul to brands.
Thou Shall Not Covet Thy Neighbors Statistics 2 of 10Thou shall remember to compare thyself to thyself and not that famous blogger.
Thou Shall Remember To Unplug 3 of 10Thou must remember there is no blogging without living life.
Thou Shall Honor Thy Fellow Bloggers 4 of 10Thou must limit thy trashtalking and belitting of thy fellow bloggers.
Thou Shalt Remember Thou Art More Than Numbers 5 of 10Thou shalt remember to not allow stats to drive thou self crazy.
Thou Shalt Have An Attractive Blog 6 of 10Which means thou shalt not have autoplay music or use comic sans or papyrus fonts on thy blog.
