This is How to Teach Kids to Love Music: Family Covers Depeche Mode (Video)

By amberdoty |

I’ve got a soft spot for dads doing adorable things with their children and this video of a dad and his kids covering Depeche Mode’s “Everything Counts” is adorable overload.

Video artist, Dicken Schrader, belts out most of the verses while his kids, Milah and Korben, add their vocal stylings to the chorus and serve as back-up singers.

All three play musical instruments including a xylophone and an old yamaha keyboard. Some of the instruments are makeshift including a coke bottle and a grater and spoon. In my opinion, Little Korben on the maraca steals the show, but Milah’s skills on the recorder are awesome as well.

Do they still teach children to play the recorder in elementary school? If not, they should bring that back. We need more videos like this one:

So cute! I love how the boy is a mini version of the dad with the same hairstyle. I love seeing parents who obviously enjoy their kids!
