Toddler Thrown from SUV During Police Chase (Video)

Kenny Shawn Jimenez, toddler thrown from SUV during police chase, baby ejected from SUV, texas police chase, robbery with child in car

The little girl gets right up.

After robbing a woman in a parking lot, a crew of four teens went on a wild police chase through Texas with an 18-month-old toddler in the car. When the car tumbled over, the little girl was flung from the vehicle through a backseat window. Amazingly, she survived.

The NY Daily News reports that Kenny Shawn Jimenez, 17, robbed a 19-year-old woman in a parking lot and tried to outrun cops in an SUV. He also had  two 16-year-old girls, a 14-year-old boy, and the 18-month-old in the car. When the SUV rolls over, the toddler is ejected, but amazingly, as you can see from the video taken from the police car’s dashboard, the little girl gets right up and walks. It is startling to watch. The SUV comes so close to nearly falling on the girl.

A female is seen running from the SUV and scooping up the girl. Then she and another teen girl take off running down the street with the toddler. All suspects were caught.

The robbery victim, 19-year-old Chelsea Betenbough, said Jimenez pointed a gun in her face while he stole her cash and purse, and said he would shoot her if she didn’t hand it all over. Betenbough said she saw the little girl in the car and was horrified, “He was getting in the car and I said, ‘all that with a baby in the back seat?’ I was shocked I saw her.”

Jimenez was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and injury to a child.
