Toddlers & Tiaras: 6 Year Old Eden Wood Retires, Hopes to Become a Star (Video)

Toddlers and Tiaras Eden Wood Retires

Toddlers and Tiaras' Eden Wood Retires

Ah, to retire at age 6!

That’s exactly what Toddlers & Tiaras star Eden Wood plans to do, but don’t think for a minute that her mom is just going to let the 6-year-old get back to everyday kidstuff.

There’s a new career on the horizon for Eden Wood, and no matter how much her mom tries to sugarcoat us into believing that her daughter loves it so much, we’re not fooled.

Eden Wood and mom Mickie were on GMA this morning to talk about Eden’s future plans. Seems the little pageant queen is hanging up the trophies and crowns, moving on to pursue other opportunities – a canopy bed line, a book and action figures! Plus, don’t forget her new album.

Good lord.

Notice mom carrying on like a dope during the GMA interview – and the blank expression on Eden’s face.

You can’t tell me these little girls just love the pageant circuit so much – from my limited viewing of Toddlers & Tiaras, it looks like a lot of money to spend on each pageant and the kids never look happy. And don’t me started on the fake tan, fake teeth, teeth whitening and waxing that goes on.

Ridiculous!

Mom comments, “As long as she enjoys what we’re doing and what she’s doing, mama’s gonna keep doing it. If, you know, if it leads to the Miley Cyrus status or the Selena Gomez or whoever, so be it. If it doesn’t, that’s fine, too.”

Mickie explains that Eden is hoping for “a Hollywood contract, a reality show, a spot on a Disney show…the American dream.”

Do you think Toddlers & Tiaras star Eden Wood has a future in showbiz ahead… or will mom work her little girl into the ground. Burnout by age 10, if you’re not careful, mom!
