12. Oana Befort
The What’s What: Decorate a T-shirt for your tot by sewing on a cute felt cat (free printable cut-out pattern included) or getting artsy with fabric paint, make a foxy paper mache mask, or whip up some whimsical swallow wall stickers. Romanian designer and illustrator Oana Befort’s blog is full of great ideas. You’ll also find pictures of her work in progress, posts about her family, and links to recipes as well as other beautiful bits and pieces as she documents her day.
The Mama: Oana (pronounced “Wanna”) Befort is an illustrator and graphic designer with a Masters in Graphic Design and Visual Communication from the National University of Art in Bucharest. She’s also the mother of an adorable little boy, Sammy, who she says is a “Romerican,” because Oana is Romanian and her husband, Jeremy, who lives with her in Bucharest, is American. (They met nine years ago while Christmas caroling — so sweet!) Oana started the blog two years ago because she wanted to continue to create, to stay inspired and to connect.
