The What’s What: Poppytalk, which focuses on “the beautiful, the decayed and the handmade” and was also featured among Babble’s top craft blogs last year, is an online “curated” site showcasing handmade and vintage goods from around the world. The site features a monthly theme – and its own marketplace, supporting emerging design talent in the handmade community. You’ll find design inspiration from the world over, and some amazing DIY projects, like this ultra-gorgeous cardboard pendant light.
The Mama: Poppytalk actually has a mama and a papa behind it: The blog’s founders are a Vancouver-based husband and wife team, Jan and Earl. He’s a designer and instructor for new media; she works in communication design and writes for online outlets including Design Sponge and Babble.
