The Top 50 Mom Craft Blogs of 2013

The What’s What: Because this is plush-toy-making, homeschooling Missouri mom Katie’s personal blog, you’ll find a lot of photos of her and her kids here. That wouldn’t be nearly as interesting if Katie didn’t have such an interesting clothing style, which she models and annotates. She also includes some homespun, simple DIY projects, like shiny pinecone Christmas ornaments or a nifty wire bow for a little hair flair.

The Mama: Katie, a Midwest mother of two — Hope, 9, and Poesy, 1 — who’s married to her high school sweetheart, makes her living sewing adorable hand-stitched plush animals (soft felt, colorful fabric, button eyes). Her aim, she writes, is to help her readers feel “inspired and encouraged.”
