16. The Sweetest Occasion

The What’s What: This entertaining and lifestyle blog is dedicated to helping you throw stylish events, weddings and parties. Aimed at “style-savvy hostesses, newlyweds, brides, and young moms,” the site offers fashion finds, wedding and party ideas, home décor and entertaining tips and great DIY tutorials. Recent DIY projects include a funky pom-pom tablecloth (it’s as simple as firing up the ol’ hot-glue gun) and glittery gumdrop ornaments your kids can help you create.
The Mama: Cyd Converse founded the Sweetest Occasion in 2008 and is passionate about design, entertaining, fashion and photography. Based in Syracuse, New York, she holds an undergraduate degree in architecture and an MBA. When she’s not blogging for the Sweetest Occasion (or drinking coffee and day-dreaming), Cyd also writes for Babble.
