The What’s What: One of our favorites last year, too, the lifestyle blog You Are My Fave showcases blogger Melanie Blodgett’s ideas for handmade projects, parties and fave finds. Recent projects include tasteful patterned pillowboxes (perfect as party favors, Valentine’s Day treats, or for housing your best bling) and paper chains made from recycled kids’ artwork, so you can incorporate those old doodles into festive décor instead of letting them gather dust.
The Mama: Melanie Blodgett, who calls herself You Are My Fave’s “author/editor/featured dancer,” is a 27-year-old mother of “round-faced little boy” Beck, born in April. Based in Denver, she blogs for Babble, Disney Baby and Julep, yet still manages to communicate daily with her six (!) older sisters, “usually about something chocolate-related.” Aw — and yum.
