Trump To Replace Kid's Now-Famous Stolen BikeKatherine Stone
Remember Culley Larson? We told you about him a week ago: he’s the kid whose call for the return of his stolen bike in a letter to his local newspaper went viral on the internet. After his plea was published in the Albert Lea Tribune, Larson’s story was picked up by the media, including Parenting, the Huffington Post, ABC News, London’s Daily Mail and, of course, Babble.
The thief does not watch the news or use the internet, apparently, but Donald Trump does. Trump appeared with Larsen on FOX’s “Fox & Friends” this morning and publicly pledged to buy the kid a new bike. Not only that, he insisted on buying Larson a better model.
“Get him a beauty,” Trump said. “Pick a bigger bike.”
Trump’s not the only one who has offered to help Larson, though he’s certainly the most famous. The 10-year-old has already received offers for ten free bikes, and he plans on giving them away to other children whose bikes have been stolen with what he calls his “Ten Bikes for Ten Kids” plan. I bet he’ll get a few more offers, especially now that he’s friends with Donald Trump.
