Voicepic: The New Photo App With Sound

You know the saying about how pictures speak a thousand words? Well, now they literally can–maybe not a thousand words, but a handful at least.

Voicepic, the new iPhone app, lets you take pictures, add audio captions, and then share them with friends on Facebook or with strangers on the Voicepic web site. Think Instagram, but with audio.

You can add funny commentary or a sweet sentiment–or let your kids say something special to share with grandma.

But the question is–don’t images speak volumes by themselves? Although it’s a novel idea, I’m not sure that 5 seconds of audio can really add much to a photo. Still, it’s a fun gimmick.

What do you think? Are you interested in this app? If it makes any difference, it’s FREE. Even if you don’t want to use it yourself, it’s fun to see what others have done with the app. For instance, check out these irresistible baby cheeks.
