Watch Sister's Tribute to Brother with Down Syndrome (Video)

Ace and Archie World Down Syndrome Day video

Ace and Archie video

You might want to have a tissue handy for this one.

Watch as big sister Ace talks about her brother Archie, who has Down Syndrome.

She leads off the video by saying, “Today I need to really talk to you about really something important.”

Speaking straight from her heart, Ace wants to let people know that Archie is just like other kids and she really doesn’t get why people think he’s different.

“My mommy tried to explain it to me, but I don’t still understand,” Ace says.

She adds, “Whatever, I’m just happy he’s my brother.”

Ace explains, “Lots of people think Archie’s different, but he’s just like any other kid.”

They love to do things together playing in the pool, eating ice cream and doing regular kid stuff – and they get along great (most of the time), the captions tell us.

Ace does note that sometimes Archie bothers her when he doesn’t understand what she’s saying.

Ace’s family adopted Archie, who was an orphan in Bulgaria, and big sis made the video as a tribute to him for World Down Syndrome Day on March 21.

This message in the video explains it all beautifully: “Everyone should be treated with LOVE no matter how different they may be.”
