You may be wondering what happened to Michael Jackson’s first child. Bubbles. Yes Bubbles wasn’t a child in the human sense but was Jackson’s adopted chimpanzee. Bubbles and Jackson were once inseparable. Bubbles allegedly slept in Jackson’s bedroom in a crib, ate at the dining room table and would use Jackson’s own toilet. The pair often wore matching outfits and Jackson would teach him special tricks like how to Moonwalk.
There had been rumors that Bubbles had passed away and Jackson’s PR guys had stated, “When Bubbles heard about his demise he went bananas.” The chimp was actually removed from Neverland Ranch and set up in an animal sanctuary after Jackson’s first child was born. There were concerns about Bubble’s growing aggressive behavior and the safety of the infant Prince Michael II.
So, where is Bubbles now? He’s living a comfortable life at the Center for Great Apes in Slymar Califronia. He’s about 23 years old and is a whopping 120 pounds. Jackson had reportly regretted having Bubbles move out, since the chimps can live for about sixty years but he and his children would go for the occasional visit.
