Since The Lone Ranger won’t be in theatres until July, it seems some anonymouse (heh) sources are in the mood for more Johnny Depp magic sooner rather than later.
And, since you can never reasonably have enough Deppage, I completely understand.
TheWrap reports that James Bobin, who most notably directed the Oscar-winning The Muppets for Disney (now wrapping up the second one), is reportedly in early talks to direct Alice in Wonderland 2.
With Depp getting all hattery again.
Sorry, Tim Burton fans.
Granted, this is coming from “two individual sources close to the deal,” but still.
Who wouldn’t want to see Johnny reprise his iconic role as the Scottish-accented hat maker, gingered hooty-owl eyebrows and all?
It’s not too outlandish a dream considering Depp will be back as Captain Jack Sparrow for Pirates of the Caribbean 5.
And hey, a girl can dream.
