The art of the tweet

I wish I’d known more about social media, specifically Twitter. I did not use these critical tools very effectively my first year as a blogger. But once I started learning how to really use Twitter to my advantage, my readership and my network definitely grew leaps and bounds. I LOVE Twitter now!

This is great advice! I wish I’d seen some of these tips before I started MY blog! Very inspirational also, I have a long way to go but I am very hardworking and optimistic. Check me out at Urbanmommys.com

My favourite pieces of advice are those around being compassionate to others – as much online as offline. I always remind myself that there is a real person behind every post, every comment, every status update. And that those small pieces of online chatter can be just as impactful when read on a screen as if they were spoken in person. Funny how the same rules for real life apply to online life. Particularly the one: If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

These tips are awesome–real and helpful. Very appreciated and good for keeping my perspective where it should be–getting swallowed into the negatives of the blogging world is all too easy to do! Still LOL about the NUI–thanks ;)

So true!!! Wish I knew that then.
