Wisdom from Mom Bloggers
Mom bloggers are awesome: they can be punchy, smart, original, honest, controversial, insanely inspiring, and fall-off-your-chair funny. Since we can't get enough of them, we are asking the Top 50 Mom Bloggers a special question a month, every month, for 2011. This month, just in time for Mother's Day, we asked each mom to tell us why she loves her mom. Read on to learn about their special mother-daughter relationships - and check back next month for our top 50's shout-outs to their "other halves"!
Why do you love your mom?

Of course there are many reasons I love my mom: she put up with me as a teenager, listened to me whine about how hard school was, and remembers how much I love it when she makes her apple dumplings for my birthday! But there is another mom I think about this time of year, as well – our daughter’s birth mother. We adopted our now-eleven-year-old from China and because of the realities of Chinese adoption, we don’t know who her birth parents are. The odds are that we never will. It is difficult for our daughter to have that hole in her identity, and we work to help her with that as best as we are able. But as her parents, we are eternally grateful to the woman we call “China mom,” who was instrumental in helping us become a family.

I love how honest these answers are. Mom-daughter relationships are some of the toughest in our lives, and I think they only get harder when the daughter is an adult herself. Thanks to all of the bloggers for telling it like it is the good, the bad, and the sometimes fuzzy, sometimes prickly in-between space.
Love this question! Also love Blog Con Queso’s answer–funny.
since my boys have 2 moms each, Mothers’ Day is a big holiday in my family (and gets re-spelled). nice to see such a diverse range of reasons for loving mum!

Choked up a little! Very sweet and honest.
Awww this really makes me want to give my mom a hug and tell her how much I love her first thing I’m going to do when I see her.
“Because she reads my blog” that’s a pretty good reason…
Unfortunately my mom passed away when I was 11, but I still remember her lessons in style. I shared them here on my blog. http://bit.ly/kHVHy0 (Oh, and I’m a top 50 blogger in Australia! Whoo Hoo!!!)
