Written By a Kid - AWESOME New Web Series (Episode 1 Stars Joss Whedon!)

Written By a Kid

This is pretty much the coolest thing ever. There is a brand new internet series that will delight, amuse and totally crack you up…really.

Written by a Kid is presented by Geek & Sundry and each week there will be a new epic tale brought forth from the minds of children. The show’s creators, Will Bowles and Josh Flaum, said of Written by a Kid:

“We’re especially excited about this show because our roots as performers are in improv, and improv is truly what’s at the heart of Written By A Kid. Kids make up a story on the spot and we honor what they create, whether it’s a dinosaur who loves donuts, a wrestling witch detective on a bike, or a giant Mom who floats over Italy and eats everyone’s breakfast.”

Their first episode debuted on July 18th and it is totally awesome. The story is by a boy named Brett an is about… “a monster smashes a milk truck sending a stream of milk to the ocean and Gerald and his S.Q.U.A.T. team into an epic 7 day battle against the one-eyed beast.” The filmmakers then created a beautifully executed visual narrative of the tale, making the story come to life.  And get this, the film stars Dave Foley, Kate Micucci and…Joss Whedon! Yes, Joss Whedon of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly and The Avengers fame stars in his acting debut as the S.Q.U.A.T leader Gerald.
