10 Things You Can Do For Aprils Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month


Did you know that April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals month? I admit I didn’t know until I saw a friend ‘like’ a photo on Facebook (which is also part of the campaign). As a pet writer, I hear everyday of innocent animals that are harmed and tortured at the hands of humans.

It is nothing but heartbreaking, and many days I just don’t want to read or see another tragic story, but I also know it is our duty as animal lovers to help put a stop to it. Every one of us can do our part. Animals are such pure and loving spirits; they deserve our love and protection.

The ASPCA has outlined simple things we can do to help bring awareness to this effort. Here are just a few (along with adorable shots of rescue animals courtesy of the ASPCA):
