8 Signs Your Cat May Actually Hate You

8 Signs Your Cat May Actually Hate YouIf you have cats you are likely well-aware of the attitude they carry around with them.

They don’t warm up to you quite like other pets do and even if you and your cat are super BFFs, there will still be times where you question if they actually hate you.

I have had my cats for 16 years now — that’s more than half my life. They were around before my husband, before my kids and saw me through the creepy teenage years of life. Yet, sometimes I wonder if they are not as big of fans as me as I used to think. There are some things that universally cats seem to do that make us wonder if they hate us, are trying to kill us or if it’s just the way they are.

They Drag Something in For You
There was a time where I thought that if a cat brought in a dead mouse or bird they were proud and trying to share. Now I realize I think they are trying to send a message... to me.

    They Make a Mess

  • They Leave You a Little Something 6 of 8
They Leave You a Little Something
They will leave you a little (or not so little) hairball when it's dark so you will step in the wet, slimy grossness.

  • They Hold You Down 7 of 8
    They Hold You Down
Sure, you may think that they are just being affectionate and trying to cuddle. They know however, that you have somewhere to be. They do that on purpose because they know our "don't get up when cat is on you" rule.

  • They Tear Stuff Up 8 of 8
    They Tear Stuff Up
If your cat is doing this to your toilet paper rolls, they do hate you. It's no debate.
