Watch as these adorable pups — named Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Nigel, and Annelise– slurp some goat’s milk while pretending to be a helicopter rotor.
We’d like to note that there are very mixed feelings out there about whether goat’s milk is a healthy thing for dogs to drink. The ASPCA advises that pet owners should check with their veterinarians before offering any “people food” to their pets. The ASPCA notes that many pets’ digestive systems cannot tolerate dairy foods very well because they are unable to break down the milk sugar lactose. Since goat’s milk contains about the same amount of lactose as cow’s milk, it could cause flatulence, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Goat’s milk proponents tout it as a good ingredient in puppy formula when a mother dog doesn’t produce enough milk, and a healthy (if possibly gas-producing) treat for dogs.
These Scotties certainly appear to be healthy, and they’re definitely adorable. Enjoy the Scottie Pinwheel, below!
