Dog Gets Punked By Tree Root

Years ago my first pit bull used to love to hike in an area in Philadelphia commonly called the Wissahickon (because the trails ran along the Wissahickon Creek) and one of his favorite things to do was to jump up in the Japanese Bindweed (a parasite and major killer of trees) and tug-tug-tug-tug until he chewed it up or pulled it down.

I called him an environmental activist.

I thought of Bubba today when I watched this hilarious video of a German Shepard utterly fixated on GETTING! THIS! ROOT! because he thinks it’s really a big stick in the ground.

I’ll say this: that’s a hell of a way to tire out a dog, right? Although I suppose it hurts the trees a bit, eh?

Well, regardless, the video is hilarious. Particularly the amusing sounds the dog makes as he tries to grab that “stick”!
