Dog Saves Baby From Abusive Babysitter

Dog Saves Baby From Abusive BabysitterOne smart pooch is being hailed a hero after he alerted his owners to the fact that something was just not right with their babysitter.

Last year, Benjamin and Hope Jordan moved to Charleston, South Carolina, and eagerly searched for a loving babysitter for their 7-month-old son, Finn. They soon hired 22-year-old Alexis Khan. A background check was performed and the Jordans believed they had found a good caretaker.

But after about five months of employment, they noticed that their dog became aggressive toward Khan and attempted to defend Finn when the she came over. The couple became suspicious and decided to place an iPhone under the couch to tape what was going on when they were at work, and what they heard was heartbreaking.

Benjamin explains:

“It started with cussing. Then you hear slap noises and his crying changes from a distress cry to a pain cry. I just wanted to reach through the audio tape, go back in time and just grab him up.”

Khan was soon arrested and also confessed. She was charged and sentenced to one to three years, placed on a child abuse registry, and is no longer able to work with children.

Have you ever been with your dog and noticed his strange reaction to certain people? There is always a reason. It has been said time and time again that we think we rescue dogs but they really end up saving us. Thank God for little Finn and his parents that their dog prevented a tragedy.

Just another reason why dogs are so incredibly awesome!
