What is better than a cool sprinkler on a steamy summer day?

They don’t call it the dog days of summer for nothing. (And we haven’t even reached August yet!) New York is currently in the throes of its 4th, yes, 4th heatwave and it’s only mid July!

When temps are this hot, it’s absolutely vital that our pets stay cool and never are left in hot cars. Dogs can quickly become overheated and their lives can be threatened quicker than most imagine.  (Click here to see signs that your dog may be overheated.)

It’s also imperative that we find ways to keep our pets cool. That might include an outdoor of play with the hose or sprinkler, which most dogs either immediately love or immediately hate!
