Before you get up in arms about designer dogs and celebrity excess, don’t worry it was all in the name of charity. The organization, Pencils of Promise, states “. . . we focus on building strong structures and sustainable education programs. By forming long-lasting, collaborative relationships with communities, we increase access to quality education and positively impact students and parents in high-need communities throughout Laos, Nicaragua, and Guatemala.”
Apparently, Usher also outbid Jessica Szohrs, who really wanted the puppy and bid $11,000 in an attempt to get her.
On Instagram, Usher said of the new pup, “Poppy (????) Raymond is what I’m think of namin’ her…however there are two gregarious 3 and 4 year olds that will have the last say…and the responsibility that comes wit her.”
Looks like Possibly Poppy has found a good home. Congratulations, Usher!
