Soldier Rescues Abused Puppy In AfghanistanCecily Kellogg
Nick was serving as a staff sergeant in Afghanistan when he came across Bodhi, a puppy with brutally cut ears and tail, tied up and covered in mud. His heart immediately went out to the dog, and after negotiating with Bodhi’s owners he traded packs of cigarettes for the puppy.
Bodhi bonded with Nick and his unit, but then came the challenge of getting Bodhi to the United States, which was a risky endeavor. Luckily, The Puppy Rescue Mission stepped up and helped get Bodhi home.
After weeks of being apart, the two were reunited.
Grab yourselves a tissue, folks. This one is a tear jerker.
