Struck Poodle Survives Being Stuck In Car Grill For 11 Miles After Driver Doesn't Notice

Struck Poodle Survives Being Stuck In Car Grill For 11 Miles After Driver Doesn't Notice via Babble

This poor lil pooch endured being struck and an eleven mile trek in a car's grill.

They say cats have nine lives, but one Massachusetts dog must have at least ten.

A Massachusetts driver hit a poodle while on the road but didn’t see the dog so continued driving. He then went from Massachusetts to Rhode Island on an eleven-mile trip. When he arrived at a gas station, a fellow motorist pointed out that something was stuck in his car. It turned out to be a little white poodle that he had hit back in MA.

The dog had become lodged inside the car’s grill and the poor thing was stuck there on the ride from state to state. The driver hadn’t realized he had actually hit anything because he didn’t see any animal. Upon finding the dog in his car grill, he went immediately to the police station where they were able to free the pooch from the car.  Then they called notified animal welfare.

The dog suffered a minor bladder rupture and a concussion but is said to be doing well. She stayed in the animal hospital overnight and now authorities are looking for her owner.

This story serves as a reminder for anyone driving who thinks they might have hit something but never actually saw anything: get out of the car and inspect it. You just never know.
