The Most Heartwarming Pet Stories of 2012 via BabbleThere have been countless times in 2012 when I will stumble upon a pet story that not only puts a smile on my face, but gets me out of a seemingly bad day. Animals have that unique ability to soothe, comfort and relax. And they can also make you laugh hysterically in a way that nothing else can.

Like so many of you, I would be utterly lost without my furry family  and I am thrilled to be able to write about animals every single day here at Babble Pets.

So I’ve compiled a gathering of the absolute most heartwarming pet stories I’ve covered in 2012. Some will make you laugh out loud and others might cause you to shed a tear. Each one showcases a beautiful and special animal!

You don’t have to be a detective to quickly realize it was Denver, Denver the Guilty Dog (who has over 50,000 Facebook fans from his guilty acts!).

    Workers at the Wild About Wildlife Rescue Centre near Melbourne, Australia, have placed an orphaned baby kangaroo and orphaned baby wombat in a specially made womb. Since the orphaned animals did not have any adult kangaroos or wombats to be nurtured by, the rescue center felt that this was the best solution since the animals have similar needs, movements, and even heartbeats. It looks like the idea is working incredibly well.

  • Get Well Visits

    Young or old, animals bring us joy. Some hospitals are recognizing just how much animals can help many patients. While several hospitals have instituted pet therapy programs in which a trained specialist will bring a similarly trained dog to a patient for therapeutic means, a few select hospitals are now allowing visits from the patient’s own pets. One such hospital is Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.
