10 Ridiculous Pregnancy Questions From Yahoo! Answers

By Devan McGuinness |

I used to think there was no such thing as a dumb question. Really, there isn’t because it’s always better to ask than not know and assume or have your facts wrong. Then, the internet came and places popped up where you could ask anonymous questions and because I have way too much time on my hands (read: my kids don’t sleep at night), I found myself reading anonymous questions and scratching my head. Can people really be this clueless? What does that say about education or are people just trying to get a laugh and ask the strangest thing they can think of?

I think it’s a mixture of the two on Yahoo! Answers, a place where people can ask anything (anonymously if you want) and get answers from anyone who cares to chime in. Sometimes the answers are funnier than the questions and are worth a read for a laugh as well.

I was browsing on the site and found some really funny (and sad and bizarre) questions and answers about getting pregnant and pregnancy itself and got a good chuckle out of them.

The one about a woman using a used condom to make herself pregnant IS a real thing that only crazy, desperate women do (I’ve also heard of a woman giving a guy a blow job, keeping the sperm in her mouth and turkey basting herself with it after).

They may do it because a) they want to have a baby with a man who either doesn’t want to be a father or doesn’t want to get stuck with the woman or b) because they just want to be a mother and think the father will make a good “sperm donor”…. without bothering to properly ask him to “donate” sperm. She may or may not want to later play the “I accidentally got pregnant even though we used protection” card.

I would have answered this question by responding that there’s no way to PROVE the woman did this in court. It would be considered more likely that they had sex, unprotected or not, and the contraceptive method they used didn’t work. Tough beans for the man, better trust who you have sex with!

*FYI, I am married and have kids normally with my husband. :)

  2. Ruth says:

    Um. Wow.

My biggest concern here is the amount of 14 year olds thinking they are pregnant. Is there no education anymore???

  3. Drew says:

This is what happens when abstinence-only sex ed is the only thing taught. Thanks for the laugh, though :)

  4. Jaymee says:

This is why all children (yes even ones with religious parents) should be taught sex education :/ that is sad….. On a funnier note these are still not the weirdest questions I have ever heard… My friend who at the time was 18 asked me of she could be pregnant on answering my question about contracepti

  5. Belinda says:

Prime examPles of why sex education NEEDS to be taught in schools! Way too many people doesn’t educate their chIldren!

  6. Aub says:

One thing to remember about these questions is probably 50% or more are not real questions. They are questions that have been posed by internet trolls trying to get a rise out of people, or just looking for the ridiculous answers some people will post. So you have to really take the questions all with a grain of salt. I bet the 14 year old questions were actually being written by 17-25 year old guys.

  7. Alyssa says:

    ROFL… bahahahahahahahahahahaha

  8. Sai says:

lol the weirdest one I got was a friend of mine asking me if she could get pregnant doing anal she heard that they were connected and the sperm could go to the womb…after i stopped laughing I took out a biology book from our school

  9. Elizabeth @ says:

Too bad the author missed the one I saw a few years ago, it went something like this:

“I’m pregnant and wondering if my baby will have the DNA of the father’s wife.”

  10. mom2four says:

PARENTS should be teaching their kids about sex at an appropriate age. That’s not for the school to decide. I’ll teach my children what I want them to know about sex when I feel they are ready. Unfortunately, that will have to be sooner than I’d like because of our perverse society.

  11. Jessica says:

What a bunch of dumb-dumbs! Are people really that stupid? That is just sad.
