10 Weeks Pregnant: Stats, Symptoms, and a Pic

10 Weeks Pregnant: Stats and Symptoms

30-ish weeks to go. That seems like a REALLY long time. And it is. It’s the end of the summer.

Well. Not El Paso summer. That really doesn’t end till like November.

This week the nausea in the evenings has lessened up a bit. I’m so thankful. The food aversions still kick in, but I have frozen meals from doubling-up recipes, so that helps in a pinch. No appointments, no huge developments. It’s really nice to have a calmer pregnancy, at this time with the twins, I knew it was two babies and I had been placed in a high-risk category.

I’m definitely looking pregnant, which has it’s ups and downs right now. Ups because it’s easy for everyone to understand me when I’m sick or being cranky. Down because I get some eyebrows when I say I’m 10 weeks along.

Here’s what my little prune has been up to this week:

—————

How Far Along: 10 weeks and 3 days!

Size of baby: A prune. Pretty hard to make that fruit look cute.

Sleep: Once I fall asleep, it’s hard to wake up. But finding a comfortable position is getting harder each week. I’m ending up on my back – and that makes me think that when Sam gets home I’ll be a pro at snoring without mercy.

Total Weight Gain: Like 2 pounds, but don’t be jealous because there wasn’t much gone from the twins. So. Yes.

Symptoms: I can feel my uterus in certain sitting positions – it’s hard to explain what that’s like but it’s a cool reminder. I’m still sick and tired but hoping so hard second tri brings some energy and relief.

Movement: Maybe?! I know, it’s too soon. But sometimes I swear I can feel those little flutters.

Maternity Clothes: Yes, and one of my besties dropped off a few cute pieces the other day for me. I’m now wearing tops.

Go-to eats: This week I haven’t really craved much. Maybe because anything I want, I have to make. Chipotle – I did crave that the other day.

Best moment of the week: Bella telling her same-aged friend, unprompted, that, “My Mama has a baby in her tummy. It’s getting bigger.” And then patting me. Then we all died of the cute.

Gender: I keep thinking of this one as a girl. Sam finally told me he thinks it might be too. This pregnancy is SO similar to Bella’s with sickness timing – but really, who knows? I just pray for a healthy baby.

What I wish people knew: {TMI ALERT} I worry about losing this baby every time I go to the bathroom. :/ Which I wish I didn’t, but I do. And that’s an awful lot of times since I have to pee constantly.

What I’m looking forward to: Second trimester! A few more weeks to go.

Milestones: Arm joints, fingernails, and hair! Goodness. What a week it’s been for this little one.
