According to BabyCenter, my baby weighs 5 ounces and is around 5 inches long from head to bottom.
Seems small and humongous at the same time.
For the past week or so I’ve been feeling little thumps. Before that I was experiencing the tiny flutters that feel like popcorn or butterflies, but now I’ve got the full-on thumping bumping action underway.
It helps put all the miserable morning sickness and rhinitis into perspective. There’s really a baby in there!
We had our monthly midwife appointment and heard the heartbeat again. And we’ve scheduled our twenty week ultrasound for October 15th. That’s when we’ll find out if we’re having a boy or girl. For some reason, I am more excited to learn the sex this time than my two previous pregnancies.
Once we learn the sex we’ll start fixing up the bedroom. I’m really digging yellow chevron patterns as of late. So maybe yellow and gray, or yellow and green? Which do you like more?
Also, we’re pretty solid on names for either sex. First and middle. Done and done.
Cruising right along here, finally hitting my stride. So if you’re struggling along in your first trimester, take heart! Relief is just around the corner. Yay for the second trimester!
