There are a lot of “mom blog” genres out there — from design to cooking to crafting.

But did you know that Baby Name Blogs are such a popular niche? I certainly didn’t, until a friend of mine (a life-long baby-name enthusiast) told me that her secret passion is actually a growing community. And it’s a community that can help you find the perfect baby name much better than any Big Book of Baby Names can.

If you’re in the process of narrowing down your ever-growing list of baby names (or even if you just catch yourself daydreaming about future children’s names), here are 20 Baby Name Blogs to check out:

You Can't Call It 'It'

I'm admittedly not as immersed in the name-blog community as others, but this is one of my favorite blogs — period. Elisabeth Wilborn gives great practical advice (such as unique alternatives to popular favorites, The "7 Deadly Trends" in American baby naming, and an annual Mitzi Awards of the best and worst names of the year), as well as offers professional baby name consultations.

Not only was she featured in the Bravo show Pregnant in Heels as a baby name expert (where they ironically misspelled her name), but she even helped pick our former Being Pregnant blogger Stevee Curtis' baby boy's name!
